Hi, I'm Vanessa Gonzalez.

I believe every community, organization, and individual has a story worth telling—and that the right story has the power to build trust, foster connection, and shape culture.

I'm a strategic storyteller, communications leader, and visual artist whose work is rooted in curiosity, empathy, and human connection.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I grew up in Echo Park long before it became a buzzword. I was raised in a multicultural household shaped by my Guatemalan mother and Black father from Alabama. Growing up between cultures—and in a predominantly Latino community—gave me an early appreciation for identity, belonging, and the many perspectives that make up our collective stories. Those experiences continue to influence how I see the world and the stories I'm drawn to tell.

Photography entered my life in my late twenties and quickly became more than a creative outlet. What began as photographing friends and family evolved into a way of documenting identity, preserving moments, and creating space for people to feel seen and understood.

Professionally, I hold a Master of Communication Management from USC and have spent more than a decade leading communications and storytelling across entertainment, advertising, public relations, and nonprofit organizations. Throughout my career, I've learned that behind every successful campaign, movement, and brand is a story that helps people connect—not just to an idea, but to one another.

I founded QNDM Collective to bring together my passion for storytelling, photography, and community. It's an editorial platform dedicated to documenting the people, ideas, and experiences shaping culture through thoughtful interviews, visual storytelling, and meaningful conversations.

My hope is that every story shared here leaves someone feeling inspired, seen, or a little more connected than they were before.
